You've said the key words... 'if you were allowed to blueprint'. The problem is that you are NOT allowed to. That means that people are searching for the barrels that are nearest to the 'ideal' without 'modifying' them. There can only ever be a limited number of those, hence the daft prices.

A more contentious point would be that there would be a HUGE premium on a barrel that had been 'worked' but done SO well that it could not be detected. Such work is EXPENSIVE.... but that does not mean it does not exist!

He's had 6 weeks with the Reds already on the Hawk so it won't feel completely alien to him.

He's just had promotion to Flight Lieutenant and gets his 'Wings' in March.

At the moment, life is fun for him....

The following year will be transfer to either Harrier (if there are any still in flying condition!), Tornado... ditto.... or Typhoon.... if we have bought enough! And then it'll be tours of duty.... I don't fancy that quite as much.... I hope we've stopped fighting everyone by then...... yeah.... likely!
