the thing is in my opinion.it doesnt really matter what size rim you have as a novice,you just need to get out there in the wet and learn where and what you need to do to be quick in the wet as its a whole different ball game.yes putting narrower rims on in very wet conditions may help but if you have a set of wet tyres on rims then use them and get a feel for what the kart is doing.

i only just swapped to narrow rims last year and i reckon im pretty decent in the wet but i did it because i knew why i wanted the rims and what they might do to my kart

all these extra things are an added expense and over complicate things before you can tellthe difference.in fact when the tracks quiet and its wet,get out on slicks and try and get round,you soon understand where the grip is and what you need to do to get traction coming out of a corner without spinning
