Some times I wonder about your powers of reasoning!

You suggest that the people who put themselves up for election have faults. That's OBVIOUSLY true.

However, you fail to make the OBVIOUS step in logic: why..... in GOD'S NAME.... would those who choose to be DICTATORS (the only other offered option) be any LESS likely to suffer from those faults???

Clearly, BOTH groups will suffer from the same faults but those who are elected CAN be DE-elected...... try doing THAT with a DICTATOR!

Nobody suggested that Democracy is PERFECT B*U*T, it's the BEST systenm we have devised SO far!

Councillors, etcetera, may WELL be CR*P..... but at least we are NOT BERNIE or MAX! You CAN get rid of US!
