Alanrr, your 100% right, why would anyone want to ban the "big boys", I just can't see what mileage this would give and I don't think it will make karting cheaper, in fact the complete opposite. We are at the start of economic crisis in the world, the so called big boys have made a huge investment, they will attend with one space in an awning but ideally a full awning, prices will drop as all will compete for drivers that’s just how it is. The one man band will fall away more because dad just can't support the time, mechanic, fuel, parts and the constant need to upgrade / replace (Childs needs). A team involvement means some of these costs can be shared making it less expensive plus you can also benefit from being involved in the grass roots of Formula 1. This is just a level of our sport, nothing to do with being this or that, those that have the big trucks and awnings go to race meetings all over the country and in many cases Europe, those with tents often go to their local circuit for some fun and evolve into going racing, they are the ones with the Karts on the roof, in many cases. We NEED both for the karting world to survive not try to ban those that have invested into the sport and made it look professional and in many cases the very reason why we took the sport up, we all need something to aspire to... The guys with roof racks want the big truck and awnings, the guys with the big truck and awnings want to be Ron Dennis.
Just my 2p worth.... hell that’s less than 2cents now... HELP.
