Maybe someone will correct me if I am wrong, but wasn't their another kid who also got noticed at the same time, had the same backing as LH but did not get the results which McLaren expected and got dropped.

If I am right, then does this not show that money wont get you there without talent.

When you look at the number of cadets in the paddock with large motorhomes, in 12 years time, F1 should have a full grid of GB drivers if all it takes is a little bit of talent and lots of money.
