I have just got a 125 gearbox kart to go MSA racing next year in the ABkC 125 ICC Class.
The engine is a 125 TM K9 C1520 AFR 2002.I presume it is a K9 type C which I think is the latest model and is year 2002
The 2009 regs for this class state that a 30mm VHSH Dellorto carb must be fitted The carb on the kart has 38 stamped on the screw-on top.Would it be ok to use a 30mm restrictor plate between the engine and carb or would I have to buy a new 30mm VHSH carb.
The volume of the combustion chamber has to be 13cc but the homologation form which I got with the engine states that is the size so it must be the standard size when the engine is supplied new
Most grateful for any comments to put me right or info to get me correctly sorted
