Errr..... no....

I think you'll find it HAS no 'sump' and therfore cannot be counted as a 'dry sump'.

Engines with standard sumps are ones which run with a bucketful of oil at the bottom of the engine. Usually, it will surround the crank or, at least, a fair way UP the crank. Eg... 99% of road cars and Honda GX160s.

A Dry sump is where the sump is HUGELY reduced in size and very little oil sits in that while the engine is running as the engine will have a separaate oil tank and VERY efficient oil pumps in the bottom of the engine to keep the 'sump' empty. This allows the engine to be mounted lower and cuts the 'drag' of the crank paddling about in bucketfuls of oil.

The nature of 2 strokes makes it very hard (but NOT impossible) to have a WET sump or really ANY sump and thus it would be very hard to have a dry OR wet sump 2 stroke!

Out of interest, people call the use of oil in the fuel: 'two stroke lubrication' but the 4 stroke Aixro uses that method as well and thus the term really should NOT be '2 stroke lubrication' and it can't accurately be called '2 stroke OIL', either!
