Chris
I am assuming that they have assumed the 'obvious':-
It's damned nigh IMPOSSIBLE to create a simple ignition system that will EXACTLY 'replace' the lost power of the additions (Clutch and changer).
If the power-curve of the new and the old motors are not IDENTICAL throughout the range, then one or the other motor would be a BETTER unit, even if it's only a 'special tracks' where (for example) the extra 'bottom end' of the new motor produces a BETTER lap time than the older motors.
....... and THAT would be a DISASTER for the class! The new motor would make ALL the old motors OBSOLETE overnight!
The only HOPE for the class is that the new motors are NOT quicker than the old ones on ANY tracks.......... and how many will Alan sell of THOSE!????
