I'm pretty optimistic. For years people have been saying "something should be done about karting" and now something is being done about the whole of motorsport which TBH has become stuffy and complacent.
I'm sure this is the first of many changes over the next few years. It will be interesting to see what the motor sport landscape looks like in ten years time, in fact it would be interesting to hear DR's plans. Having raced in many levels of karts and cars both here and on the continent, I would say we've been lagging behind in attitudes and procedures for some time.
Once this "night of the long knives" and period of navel gazing is over, perhaps we can pull together to make a decent karting strategy from indoor to British Championship. It seems they've started by using the Karting UK web site to link to the NKA and its commercial tracks.
Yeah, overall, I think thhis could be the start of a Good Thing.
