DIY: that might be the approximate contribution that is made towards a prize fund (whether or not the tyres are bought for S1 / MSA Club / Practice / IKR) - but it's far from clear that this reflects the extent of the overcharging created by the contracts.
As stated before, this is just an example of the results caused by the current decision process and endorsement by the MSA.
Richy made the point that competitor apathy is also an issue. By doing nothing other than entering events, each competitor agrees that it's a good idea:
* for S1 to have up to 33% of the vote at ABkC (including decisions relating to contracts for national championships)
* for Clubs to not actually be members of the ABkC
* for BKIA to have a vote (up to 17%) at ABkC
* to focus voting rights on those clubs that are able to arrange mid-week attendance in the Midlands
* for a "President" (How many does the ABkC claim to have? Its own rules say 1) to have influence without accountability
* for Clubs to vote against the wishes of their own members
The December 2016 AGM was postponed, apparently in order to address some issues with the ABkC's own rules. By calling the AGM without any changes, the ABkC Mambers appear to be making a clear statement regarding their willingness to change any of these.
