I can't comment about chassis because our bambino days finished in 2012 back then Tony Kart was the top dog, although then it seemed to swing back to the older Top Kart (zip), so it could have just been who was on them. Now it seems to be Wright or Synergy

As for engines, if I was joining the class now, I'd avoid the daft price comers and get the new Iame engine. There's already a non msa series for it and I wouldn't bet against the msa switching to it after this year. If it goes anything like Iame Cadet, early engines will only get better with more time on them, so they'll be desirable in a few years time, so you'll make money when you move up. Ł4K comers will be worth very little if the msa switch, think comer cadet prices!
