The braking system reliability is also affected by the circuit you race on, some circuits are easy on the system but some have many hard braking points which put a lot of heat into the system. Pads can wear down quickly extending the pistons, this accelerates wear and damage to all parts, loosing the pedal, so its not just an fluid issue. Using a good quality brake fluid compatible to the seal compound with a higher boiling point threshold is the best option, I have always used DOT 5 ROCK kart racing brake fluid with no issues.
