For me, the rules on track limits should be straight forward.
If you have two wheels on the racing surface, you are in.
If you have three or four wheels off the racing surface, warning for first offence, time penalty for a second, DQ for a third. The only exception being if you were forcibly put there by another driver.
For the avoidance of doubt, I would class the racing surface as the tarmac between the white lines. Kerbs, astroturf or any other surface is NOT the racing surface.
I'm sure I remember a race at Rye House where an entire 177 Rotax grid was DQ'd for track limits. I'm sure someone will correct me if I'm wrong. Was a few years back now. Take the hard line and watch it stop (providing you continue to take the hard line)
