Technical Drawing (TD) 2C includes a Defintion for the new Front Fairing Mounting Kit; comprising
1 Mounting bracket...
2 Front Bumper Support...
3 Adjustable hook clamps...

CIK logo & Homologation number shall be embossed on each piece
1 Mounting bracket...
2 Front Bumper Support...

Oh dear, the "Adjustable hook clamp" is a non-homologated part then.

Hey Mr.Scruitineeer, a plastic tie to hold on the top of the clamp is not part of the kit either.

TD No.2 identifies that the "Adjustable hook clamp" is to be 29+/1mm wide and they are "to be opened and closed by hand without any tools"

A major factor controlling the force needed to slide the fairing back is the grip provided by the hook clamps of the front bumpers against the mounting brackets.

/a/ I've got some G-clamps which fit the bill by wrapping around the front bumper.
/b/ The TD.2 surely cannot discriminate between the strengths of an 11 year old and a 17 year old in a Junior class. Thus it is the role of the mechanic to open/close the clamp by hand without any tools.

Item /b/ must be addressed as for example at PFI recently the drivers were asked to remove their front bumpers in park ferme.

Non-Homologisation of the adjustable hook clamps must be addressed as a safety issue as in the dropped position the clamps will be loose and are likely to fall off onto track.

Brilliant Mr.MSA. To reduce loading you may now litter the track with whole clamps and/or parts of clamps which can be flung like missiles as karts ride over them.
