Would doing very little be more appropriate? Most of their changes are reactionary efforts to stem the flow of drivers leaving MSA racing.

This particular move is primarily aimed at making officating easier. The MSA/ABKC hadn't for a moment considered the impact on the different engine types in TKM. They are hardly a shining beacon for the average punter.
