yep, in my first post I said a cadet chassis that is 100mm longer, this is popular in Italy, they also use a 30mm axle, but I'm yet to be convinced that is necessary. So all us cadet dads would just need a new longer cadet frame onto which we would bolt all our existing cadet gear, use all the rims and tyres, saving a fortune in the process.
Spoke to Paul at RPM and he said the Briggs WF engine is £500 including the clutch, and they cannot build a GX200 producing 12hp with a clutch for that sort of money, the WF engine is best value for money, personally I havent heard of any reliability issues recently.
So £800-£1000 for a new 100mm longer frame, £500 for a new WF engine, so approx £1500 to go up a class and last until the lad exceeds 115-120Kg, probaly around 15 years of age, and keeps people in the sport........ the alternative is a minimum of £6,000 for new chassis, mini-max engine and all wheels and tyres & spares, if you want to be competitive at the top level, be prepared to do £20,000 on a no excuses mini-max package
