When Club 100 BUKC race there they use their own officials and run a very good and strict penalties system. On this corner only if the whole of the kart is beyond the rumble strip it is outside track limits and a 5 second penalty is imposed for each offence. This stacks up every time you do it. Also on any other corner if at least two wheels are on the correct side of the white line that's OK, beyond and it's another 5 seconds, also they have cones behind the inside kerbs, if you hit one - 5 seconds. You are only excluded for deliberate severe contact on a single occasion or other continued contact. The sprint races are 20 minutes long and they also do drive throughs down the chicken run, hold at a point in the pits and go out.
All to allow your racing to continue and not to immediately exclude for mistakes or minor issues.
The digi board on the start finish line informs drivers of the penalties.
There is a 'knob' board shown which I think carries no actual penalties apart from embarrassment, for general poor driving or 'unsportman driving' prior to start getting warning and penatlies.
