Cadet to Junior - What to do?

My lad who is approaching 10 is 5"3 and around 50K in weight with all his gear on. Overall we weigh in at around 110Kilo which is pushing the limits of being competitive when everyone else is 7Kilo lighter at MSA.

Yes I've done most of what's reasonable for the money and lost everything that's not really needed such as stickers etc and regardless of this he is now nearing the limits of actually fitting in!

So at 10 put him up to Junior but what engine? KF3 will give us similar feel to X30 which is what I would like to go for later next year but where in the north have IKR allowing KF3/KFJ?

We race in the Hooton Indikart and wondered if any others might be up for putting a few more KF3's on grids or should I forget this and just go Rotax from the off?
