I second that, we have a set once which we purchased second hand but in good nick (weren't going to spend £160 each for new), the rolling resistance with the ceramic balls is very low, the seals were removable and refittable, best of all as you say the split collar system was a dream to use, clamped the axle very tight, applied no pressure points as grub screws do which in turn can propagate a crack in the axle, and best of all when the presuure on on with a bent axle and minutes / seconds to change - so easy to release and clamp up. We had first hand experience of a panic bent axle change - last race of the year to win the championship but needed to change axle due to a bent one, did it with a couple of minutes to spare, not sure if I could have done it with grub screw std bearings. That said we sold them when we retired and run std now we have come back in at Non MSA. If a set come up reasonably priced we will get them again.
