The most common scam is someone offers the full price but wants to send some extra money to pay their `shipper'. They send a cheque which is fake and ask you to send the extra money by Western Union to the shipper.
Sometimes they will claim they have paid by paypal but the funds are held pending a certificate proving the items have been collected.
They will often claim that they work on an oil rig or overseas which is why they can not do a bank transfer etc.
