Been in the 'karting' world for twelve months - I go to the MSA club meetings to watch the following - Honda cadets ,junior TKM and the F100's when they visit .We haven't got a grid of SNR Tkm or x30's so don't know what the racing is like but the 3 I've mentioned produces good close racing which is what I like to watch .

I've driven 3 types of karts - pro kart , TKM extreme and rotax max ..... one of them I loved , one of them was ok and one of them was awful ( I'll leave you decide which kart is which ) .

I don't race MSA as I don't feel it's value for money , I race IKR as I find it suits my budget and needs . Without IKR I'd have probably packed 'karting' in within a 12 month .

As a newbie I found that karting was a bit of an 'underground' sport - hard to find any decent info , did the 'attend your local meeting ' thing only to find karts in awnings or under covers , nobody around to discuss 'karting' . Whatever kart I bought was the wrong kart , whatever tyre pressures I ran were wrong , whatever gearing I was running was wrong etc etc

What I'm trying to say is that as a new comer I wasn't welcomed to 'karting' or encouraged into the sport , it's very cloak and dagger from what I have seen . I've played/participated in other sports and have been encouraged from the word go but in 'karting' as a newbie its hard ..........
