I'm inclined to agree with Goman here. If crossing the tramlines is an issue then put a couple of cones there like they used to, then the officials can focus on real issues like first corner pile ups (there is always one at Clay so you'd have thought they would keep an eye on it) and last lap optimistic lunges (which are, admittedly, a lot harder to see clearly).
