As someone who has brought his son through the WTP, Minimax, Junior Max and then Senior Max I would just caution not getting sucked into anything.
At Whilton yesterday we set fastest lap in the Senior Final on an engine straight from the box and has had one piston changed in 30 hours! But would it win at S1, No.

If you speak with a TKM father he will tell you its great, speak with X30 get the same, Rotax..... At club level you can be competitive, set up is the most important thing and a good driver.

Karting will cost as much as you want to spend.
