I wanted a low cost water cooled engine and this is what they are. We just spent three days a buckmore in sweltering heat and the engine was always running at 60 degree. And ran for three solid days of testing and racing. The carbs are standard Tillotson. And there are very strict controls and checks made on the non sealed engines. The lads who are racing this year have been so close spread across ages from 11 to 15 and big weight differences. The kart setup is very much the same as X30, same water pumps, radiators etc and inexpensive TaG solution with starters etc.
Now that is not to say Junior TKM is any different. I think both these classes have been set up with teh same intentions. Low cost, affordable, close racing. Tabor for Jnr BLue and TalKo for TKMs. I think it is working for both.
Next race is Larkhall! so a long way to go to watch. Its the national championships where all three regions come together and it changes location year on year.
