"Poor editing"... not for the first time this comment from you.
......In what way would you change it now? After you made this statement previously.....
"Firstly is your terrible "Later in the Race" cuts, whereby one second one driver is leading, and then all of sudden he is 4th, and a driver who was 8th is now leading, with no explanation of what has happened or how they got there!"
I actually did have a think about the style of the edit and how I could fit more of the action (overtakes and incidents particularly) from what is usually a 15 minute plus a lap race into the available time that requires in some cases large parts of the race to be edited out.
I have subsequently made a style change to more clearly show all of the overtakes we film in each race (we don't get them all, it's not a 50 camera F1 "directed" shoot). I assume you are happier with that.....or not? If not, then that would be at odds with other comments I have received from Mums and Dads at Super 1 generally about the programmes this year. I stand by what I produce, particularly this year, but accept for some like you it will never be good enough.
If I only produced for YouTube I could edit the WHOLE race into one part in HD. Broadcast constraints dictate I cannot do that. As for your other comments about commentary, you are confusing me with Jake where some comments are concerned, but in any case, as Commentators we try and have a view and opinions, which will not always please everyone, or indeed represent other opinions. You only have to watch the IAME cadet final at Larkhall and see how many people had significantly differing opinions of the exact same incident, watching the exact same footage from the exact same four angles..... I just shook my head in amazement at the differences, and THAT is just one example. I am sure some F1 drivers didn't like James Hunt's or now Martin Brundle's comments about their driving from time to time.... but they always had/have an opinion and were/are not afraid of expressing it.
