I don't know the full in's and out's of the new FKS Championship but I find it disrespectful that people criticise Carolynn Hoy and her motivations for setting up such a championship as Carolynn is without doubt one of the hardest working people I know in karting. Her only 'modus operandi' is to promote young karters, not line her own pockets and over the years, rather than make any profit, the opposite was true when it came to FKS.
I can think of a whole group of karters who could financially never dream of moving into cars but who got their one shot of sitting in a racing car thanks to earning a prize through FKS and, even if it was only for one day, managed to 'be a real racing driver.'
Have your own opinions on the whole Bernie/F1/money/talent side of things by all means but as someone who knows Carolynn personally I can say that any criticism of Carolynn's motives behind it are just plain WRONG and I hope her new venture is a roaring success
