I have great respect for Caroline & the hours she has put into karting & I sincerely hope to be proved wrong but £25k or £35k is totally immaterial try a million. Karting should be about fun & club racing I have no understanding where some of you people & some of the teams get their budget from. You can race a whole series 7 x 6 hours 3 x24hr races with new tyres & new engines for £10k shared between 4 drivers. I believe half the people I talk to in the pits & paddocks are only happy when they have blown up some engines & bent a chassis. I think we need to get some realism back into our sport. I can sell you tyres which are great reliable, consistent for £50 a set & will do 3 rounds of sprint racing, your money should be spent on events & racing rather than lining the pockets of some of these championship/suppliers. Most people in karting should be realistic about their aspirations. Just enjoy your racing & let's forget whose got the biggest motorhome/awning although this seems to be more important to a lot of the competitors, do you really think Bernie gives a monkey,s about karting ? I think not.
