Ian. While i generally enjoy your informative chats, I beg to differ on this occasion.

Your statement "The REAL difference is NOT the 'arrival' speed. It is the fact that IF you don't need to slow (brake) to take the first corner, you are not vulnerable to the LUNGE from someone who has decided to 'forget' to brake. If you are all still accelerating IN the corner and don't NEED to brake, it's a damned sight harder (if not impossible) to shunt the kart in front with any significant force!" Is flawed.

At PFi in a recent race my lad ended up with a severely damaged kart because he started in pole. No 2,3 and 5 were all in the same team.

On the grid the lads were seen to be hatching a plan the jist of wich was "lets take him out".

He was wiped out on the first corner, under the bridge.

Was this anything to do with loading? Nope.

Was it anything to do with standing or rolling starts? Nope

Was it anyting to do with fast entry speeds? Nope.

It was to do with the mentality and ethics insilled into the drivers at a very young age.

In my opinion its all to do with parental and team guidence
