In cadets at club level we won races using Ali Jet rims, second hand worn out wets (inters)lol against national level champions. Moving up to minmax we used Ali Jets and were 3 secs a lap quicker than anyone else, that was race day practice so over 3 laps pulled 9 sec gap! yeah ok it was a club meeting but we were up against some stiff competion including the then Kimbolton Champ. Tyres & driver more important than wheels.
The rain is a great leveller!
