Yes there are some very good batch numbers out there apparently. And a lot of the new batches haven't been good at all. so if rpm know it's in one of the good batches its probably better than what they can currently build and so if they have a customer willing to pay top money they can buy it from your friend give it a once over and sell it for a good profit or put it in there stable of hire engines. These t2s take a lot of hours to really loosen up and start singing so if it was an early batch and has had plenty of hours put on it, it's worth a lot money. A brand new engine costs nearly £1500 but will need 30 hours so an engine that has already had the hours is worth double at least and as I have said the newest batches aren't coming up no where near what some of the very first batches were coming out at. It's so frustrating but they are only a generator engines
