Well I think it has to be acknowledged that not everyone can afford to do kart racing, but I personally think most parents supporting their kid driving at club level are spending enough to deserve some acknowledgment. I don't know what everyone else spends over the course of a year but I doubt I get any change of of Ł10k, when accounting for everything, which would cover the cost of 2 reasonably local club championships. Not a life changing sum of money but enough to keep me out of the pub and stop us taking family holidays etc I remember clearly a conversation with a super one parent last year when I attended an event to watch where I was told they didn't spend much - A mere Ł50k or so. While I stood there contemplating this the individual went back to their Winnebago type motor home.
