It does say cars.... and the karting one is where... this is what CoCs have been relying on this year so I would imagine that they will continue to rely on it next year.

Of course the MSA could clarify and maybe just maybe draft something precisely.

The need for a width is only when retaking the racing line, up until then - as long as you aren't a long side otherwise that would be crowding, the guy in front of you can go nuts as any attempt you make to pass, would be argued under being one defensive for every attempt.Though of course even if you were along side him he'd probably argue that you hit him whilst he was legitimately defending.
