We could do that as a set up shot at lunchtime with the agreement of drivers, but it's closer than CAA rules would allow unless everyone agrees and is briefed about the flight plan. Easy to do with the agreement of 10-20 drivers, but logistically to get everyone to agree to it, it would really need to be part of the registration process. I certainly would not want to be flying over the drivers during a race anyway as that might be too distracting, unless it's at 100ft or more and out of sight. You can still get a great shot off to one side of the circuit, or perhaps hovering in a suitable position in the middle of a circuit with the pan and tilt of the camera following the race.

Makes such a difference to the production value though..... The only way to get anywhere close to the production value seen in the highest end major events like World Superbikes, Moto GP and F1. We've invested heavily in the kit and bought the best (same as Top Gear). Got the CAA licence but Still waiting for vibration dampers from the USA (makes image even more stable) so I can complete the CAA flight test for the aircraft. Hoping to have it ready for GYG on the 16th June.....
