GYG is a great track in a beautiful location - I have taken my lad there testing a few times and really enjoyed it, even though it is a long drive to get there. It has long fast sections and a very unusual downhill twisty section towards the end. Difficult to overtake. The 'clubhouse' is great and the owners seem to be a nice bunch.

The problem is that it is a Super 1 venue - the Super 1 mob turn up for a few weekends per year and the average club drivers get a bit sidelined. Not very conducive to a good club atmosphere. Combine that with the Easykart and Little Green Man series also racing there and cancelling club meetings at relatively short notice, what incentive is there for your average clubbie to race there on a regular basis ?
