obviously i would never let him get too tired it is more of a preventative measure and as stated above, is at clay, to prevent any pulled or stretched muscules.
as for some of the sillier comments , it was not that long ago (some)F1 drivers used to have a small chain fitted between the helmet and car to protect their necks at silverstone and they were not 8, did lots of training and had been going around corners for many more years!!
but all this is not really answering the question as to the reason the dpc is no longer for sale?
