When we did our exprit in orange powder coat, I masked with masking tape and lock wired a section of rubber tude over the label aswell in case the tape came off in the oven, but the powdercoaters said just the masking tape was fine, no comfort to you now though! Your on an Alonso, so if you can find out or if someone on here can give you the details of the Homologation marks you could stamp those on aswell as the chassis number. I'm sure it wouldn't matter if the marks were stamped or etched - the OTK marks are laser etched onto the label.Either this is done on a flat label and the the labels are then rolled to the radius of the tube or the etching is done on the radius in which case you would need a tube laser. Either way it can't be done in situ. Use small enough stamps so you can get all the figures on you need inc. the Homo info. Alternativly you could see if you can get hold an engraved plate of the right radius, remove the old one and rivet the new one on. You might be able to get this done at a high street coblers that do engraving, occasionally they sell those engraved curved plates OAP's like to fix to their walking sticks! You have alot to do before Fulbeck! Although they do follow the rules I'm sure if the info. is stamped on the label for now they would let you race, ask them direct so you know where you stand. Seems a shame to dirty the kart after all that effort of rebuilding it!!
