Worked out what this year will cost, from previous posts and others thoughts we are not alone in the costs of this "fun sport"

With a "basic" cadet club series costing at least Ł5000 a year for 2 races a month. (Most race more than 2 times and travel more)

So you need earn Ł7500 approx just to race at clubbies for 2 races a month!

that's not taking into account buying the kart/motor or damage or depreciation!

That of course is club "ok" level

Is racing becoming to money orientated, to costly for normal folk?

Was surprised at what it costs

Some clubs now going the route of TAG timing systems, yet more un wanted, un needed costs

Does this take the shine off karting,

make you want to stop totally

or don't you really care?

We enjoy racing but not sure it's worth 5k a year for the hassle!

Specially now we are paying to go slower in Honda!
