Look guys. coming clean I have been in the transponder arena for over 5 years repairing AMB units and TAG from all over the world. Let me tell you one piece of truth, the units you strap onto your kart whether they be AMB or TAG are low quality and basically the same, the part that make its sing is the software!!
If the MSA could force AMB to open the decoder you could run any transponder to run any software! Therein lies the problem?
I run in my day job a software company and none of this is difficult, what I find tough to understand is WHY you want all this "functionality" when you are trackside! I'm trying to change setup/axle in between heats and not look at a TAG sector time, I have that on Alfana and Mychron? I can also tell you that TAG are NOT in contact with all UK clubs, so put your hand back in your pocket, rent at PFI and currently stick with your old 160 TX when at your other circuits as I cannot see too many tracks investing £10,000 plus to move to TAG! Reality check needed, we race karts and NOT F1!!!FFS
My own personal opinion is this is kings clothes, wake up, if you are doing S1 fair enough, club level another expense that the controlling bodies are allowing you to use! Not hard to see why Non MSA is florishing?
