What more will this transponder give you? Maybe not a lot - might depend on how quickly detailed information becomes available. Having all the drivers split times for every lap could be a help.
TVKC has some of best(if not the best)facilities of any UK kart club. They have obviously considered this carefully and decided there is an overall benefit. They do host at least one international event and pehaps having this timing system will help expand on that?
OK - if you already have the AMB transponder then this will be another cost but not that significant as part of the overall bufdget for the year.
For regular drivers at TVKC then the purchase option will work out best (especially if you also do S1) whilst the occassional visitor can opt to hire (free at the first two meetings).
Both FKS and S1 decided that the TAG system had some advantages and if it is better then when is the right time for any club to move to it?
If anyone feels very strongly about this being introduced at other clubs then there is a simple solution - write to your club to make your feelings known and attend the agm (after having this put on the agenda).
