to me i just don't get the point of comparison at all a 60cc 2/ against a 160cc 4/ anyway they are completely different classes in different races
we race honda because the comer is rubbish and i have hardly any mechanical knowledge and a tight budget and out of the 28 in our last race i would say 22-23 would put themselves in the same boat so next year most will stay in honda anyway, but we don't take any real notice of the comers anyway , it is a different class, at one track we go to they are faster , at the other they are slower , so what ? its a seperate race!
a gearbox kart is faster than a senior max, both are for over 16 so why is the gearbox not restricted to the same speed as a rotax ? because it is irrelavent !!
purists will still always choose the 2/ regardless of lap times , us poor and mechanically stupid will always choose the honda for that reason not the lap time , but if you have a very good driver (with the restriction) you will now be forced to shell out more money to be sure they are racing as fast as they can!
