Well let's put it this way......
When those throughout the trade have written to the MSA making all the points that have been made here and more and they have been flatly ignored without in some instances the courtesy of an up yours by way of reply. Then it would suggest that appealing to logic and common sense isn't going to work. Given the failure of that approach more direct tactics are called for. Yes I know one man's freedom fighter is another's terrorist and all that.
Richy: Less air fuel is less air fuel is it not?
John: By all means support the Iame to be the chosen one for the national class, mbut when the MSA say in one breath.... we seek parity of speed ... that this is all to do with managing risk.... and have also said that the Iame will be the fastest engine.... Why do I not see the easykart mentioned in the communication?
Looks a lot like discrimination. Which isn't in keeping with the MSA's self appointed objective of promoting the sport. And discrimination at any sporting charity (CASC) (i.e. your kart club)by running the Iame will automatically change their tax status if a complaint is made to HMRC. So I can't see them being that popular at a club level!
Speed reduction, risk assessment, changes for 2013. Speed getting faster over the last few years. The MSA's words not mine. So why then allow them to get faster over the years if the MSA acknowledge that fast = risk. Because if fast = risk and risk = potential damage which if becoming actual damage that the MSA could have avoided through it's "ongoing" risk assessment then that sounds an awful lot like a very large personal injury claim against the MSA.
Only worsened in that increasing the Comer weight will require many experienced (older) drivers to require less lead and so ultimately go faster.
Any thoughts to unrestrictedcadets -AT- gmail.com Thanks for the emails so far, materials will be aggregated into a website later today.
Yes I know this looks an awful lot like being a trouble maker and not keeping in line with the favoured keep your head down and say nothing approach, but if something is wrong then it's wrong.
