After a bit of help please !
I am struggling to get a good consistent wet setup on the lad's Zip Storm. In the dry, he gives the much older and more experienced lads a good run for their money - in the wet, the kart is seriously twitchy and unpredictable.
What rim sizes are best for the Zip Storm for the wet and what tyre pressures do people tend to use ?
Current rims are Jet 130mm rear / 100mm front (with large offset) set with the rears in 10mm off the circlips and out as wide as possible at the front with the caster set to maximum. I have tried pressures varying from 14 to 32 psi and have not found the 'sweet spot' for this chassis yet. The rears are on short hubs, using a standard storm axle.
The only success we have had with the wet setup is on a damp / drying track with the tyres at 32psi - however, this seems to destroy the tyres fairly quickly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
