Steady on Dave, he might turn into the Angry Godfather ; )
I think the MSA would be best advised to work with the Indy Kart Racing. I think there will always be a need for closely regulated racing which the MSA provides but I think at club level they have gone overboard with the requirements to start, and overboard with all the petty regulations.
Club level racing should be easy to start and relaxed rules. National Championships, Festivals is where the full force of the rules should be applied.
IMO club level racing should all be Indy Kart Racing. The MSA should only run the National championships and big trophy meetings. The MSA could then advise the Indy Kart Racing on best practices to prepare karters for the step up to MSA controlled events.
It would be better to scrap the ARKS completely and just insist that everyone has to do a season in club level racing before the step up.
