This is just another rediculus MSA regulation imposed on karting by those with little experience or knowledge of karting whatsoever.
There's likely to be many issues, confrontations, heated discussions between club officials/karters and others with this regulation! This regulation is sure to have a negtive effect on karting as a whole which is likely to drive peoples away from MSA Racing!!!!
People spend hundreds of pounds every week attending race meetings across the country and the last thing they need is to have their weekend ruiened because their engines won't start or have the necessary time to get their kart back and forth up and down the paddock, make changes if required and eventually getting the kart to the dummy grid on time without loosing their grid slot/position.
Perhaps the MSA should impose regulations on all kart club's to get rid of those noisy farm yard industrial generators rattling away from 7.00am to 11.00pm. Perhaps the MSA should bring in a regulations on all kart clubs to install mains electricity throughout the paddock to reduce noise if that's the objective to reduce engine noise in the paddock.
