personally I would not bother with any chassis changes at all...for an 8 year old that has just started karting.....what he needs most is time is the seat, changing seats stays, rims etc will be a complete waste of time.....chassis changes may give you something to do, between sessions, but at your lads stage of driving it will have no effect at all.
Just let him get loads of track time, and his times will tumble, with no chassis changes at all
