Many of the drivers doing KF3 and KF2 in the Uk will also be competing in Europe so perhaps we should look at aligning with Europe on age, tyres etc. Perhaps the MSA should also try to influence the CIK to have standard age cut offs - I believe that one of our top KF3 drivers could not compete in the 2011 european championships because he would have been over the age limit for the finals held in Spain in July although under the age limit for the qualifier at PF earlier in the year! Why did we intraduce a Super cadet class with several difference from the established mini 60 class run in europe? What was the logic of the CIK saying you can not race outside your home country if you are under 13? Missing school is not ideal but perhaps that is more important after age 13 when you are into the main GCSE courses! It may be difficult to reduce the costs of the KF series but for all other classes there are a number of options:- Register a maximum of 2 chassis and 2 engines for any national (or club) championship. If you need to change any of these then you get championship points docked. Change the format of the national championship so that you either register at a specified club championship and the top few from each club are invited to a grand final - a bit like the Ace & Kings meeting at Whilton - OR - Use existing events such as the O plate, GP plate, Midland Champs, Celtic Cup and so on - the driver with the most points from these events wins the championship.
