There is a class that is sealed and has only one engine builder TKM 4 stroke. The engines are very even and largely trouble free and will go for many hours at a competitive level without a rebuild.
The trouble is that a rebuild can be very expensive.
The best thing about TKM 4 stroke is the single sealing agent as it ensures equality as much as possible.
BUT The worst thing about the class is the single sealing agent as there is no competition and prices are probably higher than they would be if competition was allowed.
Oh of course the very worst thing about the class is the fact that its not 2 stroke!!!
