If you want to see where UK karting is headed just look over the channel at France. Where for the same reasons, i.e. Federation making stupid rules up to increase revenue for themselves and their 'preferred' contractors. Costs about £400 now just for the licences to get a pre-teen on the grid.
France is about 5 years ahead so you don't need a crystal ball. How does a total of less than 30 national drivers in the 10 to 12 age group sound? All of them stinking rich cheats! Rich & connected enough to be reinstated at appeal (appeal fee several thousand euros!!)This happened to the first first 3 in the French championships who were all caught skimming heads, but let off. The excuse was that as their engines passed scrutineering at the previous round, they could of expected them to conform the next time. French logic for you.
