Now I'm even more confused! Lol.
The red flag was brought out because my son thought he could lose some grip in the hot conditions by driving upside down. Within a minute or two paramedics and stewards declared him and the kart fit to race. A long discussion then seemeed to go on between the clerks, stewards and the other drivers/dads and the decision eventually came back that we could not restart, much to the dismay of my boy.
Are you suggesting we could have retaken the start, but at the back of the grid?
What's done is done and I'm not going to kick up a huge fuss about it, I just want to know for the future, not that we intend trying the same trick again!
