There are more and more street circuit events being organised in France. Incredibly they even allow the Cadet age group (7 years and older) and juniors to race here. It's crazy to watch because the kids have no fear, where the adults tend to hold back because they sense how badly it could go wrong, with all the street furniture in place and just a few bales for protection. My lad (12) raced last year at a place called Blaye near Bordeaux, around through the park (literally around the bandstand) and then the straight was the length of the towns main street, what an experience, with huge holiday crowds; but never again, far too scary for a parent to watch. He and and his arch rival got on it in the final and were setting the same times as the gearbox karts in 10hp Subaru's. They got a huge cheer on the podium but one small error from either of them and it could have been a diffrent story. Couldn't happen in the UK, for better or worse????
